our rescue dog is going thru her 2nd summer and again has major allergy problem with sores and loss of hair primarily on her face and front legs. Vet tested for mites, no fleas, no bugs, and gave antihistamine and antibiotics but it is getting very close to her eyes...does anyone know what would cause this allergy JUST IN LATE SUMMER??? We live in NW PA by the lake. IP: Logged |

Hi, I have a 4 year old lab and we experience the same thing every summer. He gets hot spots in his cheek which they gave us ear drops to clear up and it works and also he looses hair just in front of his tail on his back. We have taken him to the vet where they gave him drugs and shots to try and help. They even suggusted that we shave him in the summer time. We still do not know the cause but wanted to write to tell you we have been going through the same thing. I am also curious of reason. IP: Logged |
