our 11 week old kitten has a cold. her symptoms are sneezing continuously on waking up and when cold, occasional pigeon-like cooing/cough, when she sleeps her breathing makes a whistling sound (as though she has a blocked nose)-but this doesn't happen when she's awake. she has gooey eyes, and shakes her head a lot. she has had these symptoms for about 10 days.

she is a white and black cat-her ears are white- there seems to be dry flaky black bits which come of fairly easily on the tips of her ears. does anybody have any idea of what this may be, and are these connected?

are her cold symptoms worrying, or should we wait it out for a bit longer?

Hi, Please take your kitty to a vets sounds like it could be cat flu or upper respritory problems he may need antibiotics..

Cats can become ill very quickly so please seek vetrinary advice ASAP to rule these possibilties out.

Since she's had these symptoms for ten days already and they don't seem to be getting better I agree with Mike on getting her to a vet.
