My family has owned cats for many years. We have never had problems with cats peeing in the house until now. It has slowly gotten worse over the last 3 years. Out of the 4 cats, there is one particular one that is just really bad. She is about 14 years old, but in excellent pyhsical condition. We used to keep her outside all day long, but during the cold seasons, use a litter box. She used it for a while but has continued to use it less and less taking advantage of peeing in places on the carpet. Its just starting to get out of control. For years we have never had a problem like this until now. Now the backroom is offlimits, we make sure no cats go back there, and my own room is now off limits. What can you do with a cat that is going out of control. Why wont she use the litter box 100 percent of the time instad of 80 percent of the time?

Take her to the vet to make sure she doesn't have a urinary tract infection or other health problem.

we all have to grow old and maybe its a type of cats old timers. I would be inclined to think that the cat will get worse than better. It comes to all of us and fourteen is not a bad innings. Jan
