does anyone make there own calming tinctures from catnip. And if so do they work. I have some catnip in the back yard and Im wondering if i make an oil or tincture can I use it on the cat in small amounts or is it best to use the leaves in his food. Jan IP: Logged |

Hello. I just buy my cat dried organic cat nip and place it on his cat scratcher. That way he gets to eat it if he wants to. Since you have some in your garden, you can pick a few leaves and just show it to him. That way he can choose to eat the leaves or not. Cats are not always in the mood to eat catnip. If it were my cat I wouldn't put it in his food. I think cats are a better judge of how much cat nip they need to eat. I hope this helps. Enjoy your day/evening. ![]() IP: Logged |
