I have a stray cat reaking in through my cats catflap and stealing her food then spraying it`s muck. The smell is absolutely disgusting and drives me insane.The catflap is locked. how do i stop this cat from coming near? i want to kill it but i`m not that cruel!

It would be nice to try to get a rescue group to take it. If you just don't want it in your house, they make special cat doors for that. My dad has a special door and his cats have a little thing on their collar that opens the door, so only they can get in. He had problems with the neighbor cat coming in to eat and hang out.

Obviously, the cat is in need of food which is why it's coming inside. Perhaps you can take it to a no kill rescue organization.

Rusty since you are in the UK i can give you some sounds advice. Catch the cat in your home put it in a box and take it to either your nearest CPL shelter or the RSPCA, with both dont ring them to ask them to get it they won't. Just take it to them and tell them you wish to sign it over.

Unfortunately there are lots of stray cats in the UK, most are very good hunters and survive quite nicely on their own without humans even if they are not feral. I would think that since this cat is coming into your home it may well be ill. I get alot of strays and the ones that don't stay go off to various animal organisations to get treatment and a new home. I hope you can find it in yourself to help this kitty out. I understand what a pain it is for them to spray in your kitchen but they are only doing what is natural.

Are you sure it is a stray and not just an annoying cat that belongs to someone else? Just make sure it is a stray and not someone else's cat before you trap it and take it somewhere.
