I have a cat that use to purr like crazy if you touched him with one finger. Now, he never really purrs. He use to purr so loud too, it was funny. If he does purr now its so faint you can hardly hear it. I know he's happy, and his tails flops from side to side....But he is not purring anymore. Why is this? Do you think I should be concerned? What can I do??? Please help. Thanks.......IP: Logged |

Purring doesn't necessarily mean they are happy. Cats also purr when they are sick or injured. If the cat is otherwise healthy, I wouldn't worry about it. IP: Logged |

I researched the web, and found that a cat could be in pain. I have a vet appointment tomorrow--hopefully I will find out what is wrong!! Thanks.... IP: Logged |
