I have had my cat, Spooky, since I was two. He is 18 now and he has been walking around dry heaving all day. Now, he is curled up in a corner by my chair outside and no one, not even my dad, can touch him. Is he going to die, and what will i do?!

Spook is at my parents house in jacksonville...my dad says it's just time to let him go, but I am not ready!
I am sure that it's probablly for the better but that doesn't make it any easier...

Oh I am sorry, I didn't realize you were so far away.
Did your dad try & get Spook to drink some water?
I guess your dad will not take him to the vet?

my cat died 3 nights ago. I feel for you.
It is very difficult to lose your cat after so many years.

When I lost my cat I felt like it is the end of the world.

My suggestion is to take him to a vet and have him checked out. It may not be anything serious. Spend $300 and get a blood work, urine sample and x-ray. If the result shows that he is in poor shape then it is time to say good bye. No need to make him suffer any pain.
