We brought our little baby home in September and she like to wake up at 5am and just on my husband's face and try to play. She is 5 months old and I thought she would have grown out of this by now. Does anyone have any suggestions? If we shut our bedroom door she cries. HELP! IP: Logged |

yeah, that sounds really cute, but I bet that is sooo Annoying! honestly, my cats put me on a wake-up schedule also: 5 am every morning for breakfast. If i try to oversleep, then I get scrathced (or poked) in the face by kitty claws. when Thomas (main alarm clock) first started this horribly aggravating habit, I did everything i could to stop him. after a while, I realized that we would both be happy if I just got up, gave him breakfast, then go back to sleep. Now, it's not such a big deal. he gets fed, and I get to sleep. anyways, maybe a little compromise (mostly on yer part)would work...so not saying you have to get up and play for an hour, but maybe get some kitty toys, and when the little darling wakes to play, put them on the floor or the end of the bed. hopefully, he'll be able to entertain himself. Maybe if you really tire her out before bed she'll be less likely to bother your hubby in the morning. My boy, Chieve is extremely active and for a while I had to make sure he was well exercised before I went to bed otherwise he would drive me nuts during the night...running through the house like a bullet, playing in the fish tank, ect. He also used to cry loudly outside my bedroom door and from my ignoring him he did eventually stop. Good luck. ------------------ IP: Logged |

My 4 month old kitten wakes me up by meowing and sittong on my face every morning at EXACTLY 6:23am. Usually if i pick him up and carry him downstairs and give him some food i can go back to bed and he wont bother me IP: Logged |
