HI, I have a one and a half year old cat who just suddenly began vomiting. The only change going on is that we had brought home a little kitten who is now in a separate room while they become acquainted from opposite sides of the door. Sonny, my one and a half year old seems frightened to approach the door and growls and hisses when he sees the little kitty at all. Can this fear or stress contribute to his sudden bout of vomiting. Otherwise he looks fine. Is he tryng to tell me something? Please help! Thanks everyone... IP: Logged |

Hi, I just registered, but I still have that question about the sudden vomiting bouts my Sonny is having. Can it be from a new kitty being introduced to the home? He is still eating, but vomits here and there. Thanks! IP: Logged |

Sounds to me like he is just upset about the other kitty. He is probally a little stressed out, and the reason why he is getting sick to his stomach. As long as he is eating and drinking, that is a GOOD sign. How is his energy??? The only other thing I recommend is that you take his temperature (normal temp. should be between 100 and 102.5) If he has one, then take him to the vet, that is a sign that he is sick. Good luck! Thanks so much. He is doing much better now and getting closer and closer to the door without being so timid. He even swatted playfully at the other kitty (Domino)from underneath the door. Thanks for all the advice! IP: Logged |
