A few months back, the fur around my cat's neck had to be shaved for medical reasons (which had nothing to do with the fur itself). Anyways, Thomas is a one colour cat with dark, rich, grey fur. Strangely enough, the fur that grew back from the shaved area is white!!! (kindof a dirty white, but definitely NOT dark grey). I thought it would eventually turn grey after it was fully grown back, but it's not happening..He gets alot of laughs now, cause it looks like a large white mane surrounding his face. Anyways, partly from amusement and partly from curiosity, does anyone know why this part of his fur changed colours?
For reference- Thomas looks very similar in colour to one of Nern's kitties (the dark grey one)

Your cat's fur color sounds interesting. I would love to see a picture.

I got my fluffy cat shaved this summer. His hair used to have patterns in it, grey with white markings. It has grown back solid grey. It doesn't look weird, but I miss his pretty markings.
