I have an 11 year old Calico and she started vomiting her food one day this week. The next day she vomited what looked like foam and then stopped eating. She's always been a big eater so I took her to the vet. that day. They did an exam and blood work which came back normal. They gave me the Hill's AD and I've been feeding her with a syringe. She went in yesterday for a B-12 Complex shot, IV drip and anti-biotic. When I got her home she went pee pee and had a bowel movement. She went to her food bowel and acts like she wants to eat but doesn't. I did get her to drink some juice from Tuna. She's going back for more IV tomorrow and then Monday to the Internal Emergency Center we have near us. I've been crying for two days as she's just the best cat I've ever had. She's my little purr buddy. Sorry for the long message. Has anyone ever had this problem with their cat and the same symptoms? Thanks, Paula IP: Logged |

Hi this is a follow-up to what I just wrote. I've tried as many types of meats as I can and also tried baby food and that doesn't work. My e-mail address is PMWB9058@AOL.COM. Any advice and/or help would be appreciated. Thanks.. IP: Logged |

Has your cat gotten any shots/vaccations within the last month? What is his temperature? I have two, 5 months old kittens, and 1 week after the male got his shots he was very sick, throwing up, 105 fever, wouldnt eat or drink. I got an antibotic and had to feed him with a Syringe every 2 hours. Turns out he is allergic to his vaccations..... IP: Logged |

Thank you so much for responding. She hasn't had her annual shots yet. Actually she was due for them after the 13th of Nov. She's started eating a bit more on her own but still not up to speed. I'm going to call the vet in a little while and I think he wants us to bring her in for another IV drip. There is a very good internal medicine center for animals near us so I think he's going to try and get her in on an Emer. basis tomorrow. She's acting kinda normal, doing her usual things and still sleeping with us at night. She's usually a bigger talker (meowing that is) but she hasn't been this week. Thank you again. Dear CLW, Her Temp. was normal. It was taken twice both on seperate days. They gave her an anti-biotic as precaution. Something that she's taken before. Thanks, Paula IP: Logged |
