We have only sheltered and loved our baby for 2 years now and suddenly he is scared of noises even if I just sneeze. Why is this? We did move 1 year ago but it was a smooth move 1/2 mile away and didn't appear to effect him much. My husband did some loud remodeling and than the cat started acting all scared of eveything. It has been 8 months since that took place and still he is acting afraid of things. We have to be really quite and slow to avoid his panic. Our cat sitter even mentioned this and asked me what was wrong.
Any clues that i might be overlooking?

I don't know if this helps or not....

I have a scardy cat and a brave cat. The scardy cat is getting braver but the brave cat is modelling the scardy cat's behaviour and is becoming very skittish for no reason. And the scardy cat finds new things to be scared of everyday - again for no reason. Its rain one day and the TV the next.

This doesn't provide a solution to your cat. I just wanted to let you know that there are other cats out here that get scared/nervous for no reason at all.
