1. Does anyone know how to introduce felines or canine, or vice versa? My dogs are friendly towards them but my cats hiss...which is obviously is to be expected (I am not that dumb). How can I make my cats feel more comfortable? only time?

2. Having two cats, they both want my attention at one time, when I play with one, the other one gets mad and ignores me, when I play with the other, the first one jumps in the middle of it and annoys her again! How can I satisfy both of them?

3. Any one know about potty training cats? I've heard of it but unsure about it.

4. When traveling with litter boxes, where should one put them? We are going to be staying at a big house for a couple of days where they cannot have "accidents" as often as they may do at home and so I need advice to where I should place the litter boxes when we arrive to the new place.

I read some posts and responses on this site, and you guys are great with advice! I actually litter trained my cats reading and taking advice from here! Thanks!~

1) I guess they are already living together. My cats have the basement, it is their place and the dogs are not allowed down there. They can retreat there if they don't want to be bothered by the dogs. In my old house the second bedroom was the cats room and again the dogs weren't allowed in. Having their own space helps.

2) Pay attention to them separately and together. Just show them both that you love them.

3) I read a book about toilet training your cats, I think it sounds great. With two cats I would definately try it. I didn't try it b/c I have so many cats and if even one of them doesn't pick up on it it wont work. Plus I would be fighting them for the toilet. I think you should try it though. I got a good book from my local library.

4) If it is only a couple of days you could confine the cats to a certain area or part of the house. The main thing is to put the box in a place where they have easy access to it. Show them where the box is a couple of times. Pick them up take them to it and set them in. Let them walk away then a few minutes later do they same thing. This will teach them where the box is.
