Hullo hullo.

I adopted a new kitten, 4 months old, on Wednesday, two days ago. She has been ajusting remarkably well.

Just this morning, when she first woke me up (heh) she sneezed 2 or 3 times. I didn't think much of it.

Now (just after 7:00pm) she has been sneezing a fair bit. She's had a few "bouts". About 15 mins ago, about 5 sneezes/choughs (i'm not sure which it is!!). Then about 5 mins ago, about 10 more in a row. Should I be worried about this? Could this be URI? Both her nose and eyes seem perfectly normal to me. I can't call the vet until tomorrow..... Any info would be much appreciated

My kitten had a URI but sounded very congested. I would call the vet tomorrow and see what they think just to be safe.

Just an update if anyone cares, I called the vet and told her what was up, she said so long as her symptoms don't change, it's nothing to worry about as long as I get her to her vet visit in the next couple weeks.

My first kitty had a little cold shortly after we got him, but it just passed on its own.

Nern, your kitties are SO gorgeous. What do you feed them?

I personally think it is just a cold. Coughing, sleepiness, she had diarreah this morning. Other then that she seems happy and simply annoyed at having to cough every once in a while. *grins*

The vet said she couldn't be sure over the phone, but it is possible it is URI (Upper respitory infection) from being at the shelter. However she only has 1 of like 4 or 5 symptoms for that, so I believe it to be a cold. All the same, I worry every time she coughs... I love her to death and I want her to be healthy. I am anxious to get her to her first vet visit.
