i had a perfect cat until she got older. she is 17 ,on methimizole for thyroid and only weighs 6 1/2 lbs now, but no health problems. she started urinating occasionally on basement carpet in one area and i have tried everything imaginable, even putting plastic film carpet covering down and she wets on the plastic. drinks a lot, loves an ice cube in her water, kidneys check out fine. i tried an extra litter box in that area also, she uses it but still goes on the carpet. i keep her boxes are very clean. i cant keep up with cleaning the carpet - can anyone help? What did you use to clean the carpet? If you have'nt done so already I would try something like Nature's Miracle. If the problem persists, I would just keep the basement off limits to her if possible. IP: Logged |
