Hi, I have looked everywhere and cannot find a solid answer to my question. I have two female cats who are sisters and are identical in looks. Both are very lovey and seem very happy. They even play with are one year old puppy. They are about 8 months old. the last few months they have started a habit that I cannot seem to break. They poop everywhere. And it is normally very loose stool. Had them checked with the vet and she said that they are fine and they have no known bacteria or anything that is in their stool or from blood tests. They will use their litter pan (we have two Pans) and we clean them every other day, but they seem to like to just go where they please. Have caught them in the act and scolded them so they stopped in that spot but found a new one. I have tried so many things... Have no intention of getting rid of them but can't figure out way they are have started doing this. However... they have NEVER peed anywhere but their litter pan... Any suggestions?

Have there been any changes in your household that may have caused them stress?

You might find some solutions on this site:

Have you ever tried the Feliway spray? They have directions for cleaning and treating the areas. A little expensive but it helped Edgar to stop peeing on my carpets and area rugs....
They sound like they have nervous tummies if it's loose stool. Sometimes a good stress can affect the physical, maybe puppy has stressed them that way. Hope that you find your answers soon. That's a real stinker. No pun intended. Best of luck. Let us know what works!

Thanks for the suggestions,

Well no real stresses that I can find. They love the dog being that they sleep with him literally.. all cuddled up with him. Being that both of them are doing the same with loose bowls I am changing their diet to a new food.... hopefully that solves the problem there. Also I think they started having both problems at the same time..... could be a connection?

I will have to look into feliway...
