I am a new cat owner so i am not to sure, but the same thing happened with my dog and it was because of stress. Maybe thats whats happening to your cat. have you gotten a new cat or change his food. anything that might throw him off alittle? IP: Logged |

It might be nerves. Has there been any new people who have been comimg around or has your house been louder then normal? Any new pets? There are alot of things that could be triggering the stress. Also he might be stressing over someone leaving? Have you lost any pets he was close too? Did you just get him? Also was he ever abused? How long has it been going on. He might stop after a while. ------------------ IP: Logged |

My cat was doing the same thing. It's either from allergies or stress/mental problems. Ask your vet about a course of steroids to see if it is allergies. I had a weeks worth to give my cat. I really thought her problem would be psychological, but her fur is coming back. If the steroids don't work you can try kitty prozac. IP: Logged |
