Please help us. We've had our new kitten for a little under a week...she is wonderful durning the day, but at night she goes crazy! She becomes even more playful than usual, but she also exhibits more bad habits then. Our big problem is that she'll do a bad thing, get a little squirt from the bottle for it, but then it seems she does more bad things on purpose after that...things that she has no problem remembering not to do during the day. We don't know what to do to stop this purposely defiant behavior at night. Please help!

You might want to try giving her lots of attention and rambunctous play in the few hours before you go to bed to tire her out. Try to get her into a sleeping patter closer to yours.

I've found that my kitten lets me sleep throuh the night better on weekends and I think its because I have much more and so he is awake more. I think my cat sleeps all day and evening while I'm gone then is wide awake on weeknights when I'm trying to sleep.

thanks a bunch! i ended up buying some 'independant play' toys...things that she could use on her own, and that works pretty well for when we can't tire her out ourselves. otherwise, the remote control car really wears her out and she loves it! thanks for replying!
