I've been reading the messages posted in this forum and it seems like everyone here is very eager to help new kitten owners out.

Well here is my issue, my girlfriend and I decided to get a kitten from the humane society now once we brought the kitty home everything was great. She was active, playing, and eating very well.

Now, 8 days later, she has started to make a really weird horking noise as if something is stuck in her throat. The vet says that it might be a cough but she is not sure. Ofcourse the little kitty didn't make the noise at the vets... go figure.

This is my first kitten and I am getting kinda nervous. The vet says that it might be a respitory problem. The kitty had some stool samples taken at the vet and the humane society and they all came back negative. The vet took a blood sample and now me and my girlfriend are waiting on the result. She went for a poop today and I noticed a small yellowish thing in her poop. It kinda looked like a half a peanut.

I'm just very worried and would like some help or advice.

I wouldn't worry too much for now unless she is having breathing problems or other symptoms like she doesn't want to play or eat.
