My cat is extremely tempermental. She is very spoiled and when she doesn't get her own way she throws a bit of a fit. Unfortunately this means that when I leave her alone she urinates on the carpet. What do I do to stop this? It only happens when I am not here!! Any suggestions would be much appreciated. IP: Logged |

Sounds like your cat may have separation anxiety. Have you discussed this yet with your vet? Here is a link with more info: http://www.petplace.com/articles/artShow.asp?artID=3341 You could maybe try one of those ComfortZone plug-ins and see if that helps at all. They are supposed to help calm stressed and anxious pets. Good luck. IP: Logged |

My cat is the same way except she does it when we are here, and in our bedroom. I will check out that link. ------------------ IP: Logged |

My cat does these, should I be concerned? -Over-attachment to the owner, following that person from room to room around the house. -Exuberant greeting behavior – as if greeting a long lost friend that they did not expect to see ever again. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Kayliface: It's normal for kittens to be more attached to their owner. I got a 6 month old kitten from the shelter and he followed me everywhere for a few months. I wouldn't worry unless she has problems when you leave. IP: Logged |

Weird enough, tonight, while I was on the net just surfing, I looked over and saw some poop on the floor .. she hasn't done this in 2 months! I guess she really wanted my attention ... ------------------ IP: Logged |
