Need a bit of help here. We had a neighbor who hadn't been home for three days and she had a cat with kittens. The mother didn't know how to take care of them and basically left them to strave. We took them over. There are five. They are all in pretty good health, except the runt. He is very week. Anything I can do quite? I am broke so vet is no op. Is there any home made formula.. Anything?!

Perhaps you can call your vet and ask what you can do. Explain your situation to them. Most vets are very understanding. Or call your local SPCA and ask for medical assistance. At least talk to a medical professional and get their advice.

Good luck!

I agree with Cat... it doesn't cost anything to call a vet or the local SPCA to get advice. They could be of great help to you at no cost. I hope everything works out!

There are recipes on the internet for making your own kitten formuala, but I always just used KMR. They also sell other ones at the store.

I would definately call a vet if you are worried, many of them are very understanding.

UPDATE: I found a vet here in town that was willing to over look my empty wallet until the first of the month. The kitten (Roux) made my family cat sick too and the doc gave then something and they are going to be just fine. The other four kittens of the litter are wening very well! Thanks for all the wonderful advice :D

Great!! It's so nice to hear that there are still vets who are willing to help when the money is not flowing.

I'm glad your kitties are feeling better!
