On my 3rd Birthday My moms cat had kittens and since they were born on my Birthday I was given one. Well I am now 24 and Misty is 21 shes in good health mostly not as playful and sleeps lot but other than that shes is in good health. She has been fixed was an inside outside cat till about 4 years ago now she is an inside cat. I can't remember life with out her and I keep worring everyday she might be our last together. How long can I expect her to live. I was told 21 is real real old for a cat. How old was the longest living cat. I think MISTY is trying to break the record.

I once saw this program on this man who had many cats and his oldest at the time of its death was 30. I believe if my memory is right the cat was a she and her offspring are living rightfully old too.

Now heres the thing that got me was he only fed his cats table straps, that's right, no fancy canned food nothing just the foods he eat. The other cats he had were around 25 or so which is pretty old.

You just never know it is like us humans we can be healthy as bears one day and dying of some disease next or living on into our 100's.

Maybe someone seen the program I saw and can comment on it better than me.

I hope Misty lives many more years. I can see your concern that is a long time being with your little companion and it would be hard to loose a companion like that after being with her for so long.

Mac :-)
