Bailey is a year old male tabby whom I adopted from the SPCA. He is FeLV positive, and is currently finishing his 4 week treatment for Clamydia. I recently moved to Stratford, and Bailey has not adapted very well. While our new apartment is being painted, we are staying with my boyfriends parents, who have a yippy little pup. Bailey, although secluded from the dog in a seperate room, is very stressed! He stopped eating a couple days ago, has become very lathargic, and has developed a cold. Today when I saw no stools in his litter, I began to force feed him soaked high cal food, but that stresses him even more. He's already a pretty thin cat, and I'm worried he doesn't have the girth to make it through. He's never been a very active kitten (always off/on sick with something), nor has he been a big eater (maybe 1/3 cup a day), but I've never seen him this bad! If anyone has any sugestions, I would really appreciate it! IP: Logged |

There is a product called "Rescue Remedy" that helps calm stressed out pets. Since your cat is FeLV + I would consult your vet before trying it just to make sure its okay to use on sick animals. If not Im sure your vet can recommend another calming product that can help. Good luck. IP: Logged |
