We have a cat, Puff, who is an unknown age, most likely over 10 years old. It was a stray at our piano teacher's house and we adopted it. (it's the cutest thing, a Persian Manx)

Anyway, about 5 days ago she started staying outside overnight and not coming when we call her. To give some background, she always sleeps in the garage with our other cat, and she will ALWAYS come if you call her. Sometimes we'd have to get out a metal can/spoon and make "can opener" sounds but she would always come back at night to go to sleep.

Well, she started wanting to stay outside all night (and mostly all day). No big deal, she had seemed really healthy lately and so we thought she wanted to be a little "independant". She wasn't eating any of our food but we figured she was eating food left out for other people's cats or killing small animals to eat.

Now it looks like she's REALLY sick. She's very tired/lethargic and won't eat/drink. We are almost certain she had a mild stroke.. she's definetly not "the same". She doesn't appear to have much control over her back legs either

We've syringe-fed her some tuna and water to keep her from starving until the vet arrives. She's a very skittish/shy/scared cat so we called a mobile vet instead of taking her in the car, etc..

I'm just wondering how serious you guys think this is. I've done a bit of research on the net and I think cats can get over this type of thing. Any thoughts? I could really use some info right now

Take her to your local vet and let me know what happens. Am very concerned on your cat.

They ran some tests and she has a normal white blood cell count which means she is not infected. But the enzyme tests showed that she may have kidney trouble

Please keep Puff in your prayers! I will post again when I find out anything.
