I have a 6 year old female and she looks like she's about to die. I really don't care too much for animals but I really like this one. I'm on a real tight budget so going to the vet and wasting $400 I don't have right now.

She is sick. She used to walk around the house and now she doesn't even have the energy to come to the door like she used to. We give her hamburger meat, store bought stuff everything. Stuff she used to love and now she doesn't even eat as well as drink. I don't know what the problem is. She might be on her last days, but hopefully someone can give me a few tips quickly. One night she got in a fight with this one male and ever since then she hasn't been the same. I opened the door right away when she started to hiss, but I don't know what happened. Is there any vaccine I can give to make her just eat some?? What are you guys takes on feeding it with a tube or dropper??? Ok thanks for answering if you do. I hope it's not too late. Thanks. Bye.

it sounds as though she needs to see the vet...maybe you can talk to your vet about a payment plan or something or maybe your local animal shelter has a vet...
but if shes not eating or drinking....she really needs to see the vet...
i hope i helped and hope everything turns out ok....

Go to the vet, the basic examination will not cost you $400 but probably around $50. At least then you'll know your options, you owe your cat at least that much. IF she is about to die the vet will tell you and then you can put her down in a humain way.

we own a dairy farm that has around 3000 cows and we have plenty of vaccines. I just don't know if any of them are good for a cat. Getasing, Naxcel, I don't know. Something to jump start or something. I'm not sure, but have any of you guys ever used one. Thanks for your help by the way. It sure helps when someone is trying to help you through this because she's been my most favorite out of any pet i've ever had.

As everyone here has been saying, the best thing to do is get your cat to a vet. You could kill your cat by giving it a vaccine intended for another animal or for another purpose. As far as I know there isn't a vaccine to "jump start" a cat to eat. Refusing to eat is only a symptom of something else being wrong. Does your cat get his/her annual vaccinations?

you need to take your cat to a vet ASAP. if you really love your pet, the money should not be an issue.

show her you love her, and get her to the vet!!

how long has this been going on?

Go to a vet (or a low cost shelter that has a vet) and tell them of your situation. You never know, it may be a simple, low cost solution. They also offer payment plans for pet owners who need it.

If a cat doesn't eat, their system will shut down and it's deadly.

I hope you can get the cat to the vet and find out what's wrong. There's no simple solution that I can offer that will cure your cat. I wouldn't try to give the cat vaccines without the help of a vet. It would most likely not have a good outcome.

Garith77 is right, the inital visit won't be $400 and you'll know what's wrong and what to do from there. Most importantly, you can decide what to do to keep the kitty out of pain.

Good luck.

Maybe there is a humane society of the United States in your area. They have low cost vet services, and the office exam is usually 10.00. Check your phone book or www.hsus.org.
