We took our cat to the vet and he said she was dehydrated. He kept her for two days and sent her home with us but she's still very sick. Her paws and backside are wet always. She wants water very badly but it seems hard for her to swallow. She hacks a lot. She wasn't eating for the vet and hasn't eaten yet today. She's only tried to drink. She's lethargic. She's very difficult for the vet to handle so he said if we take her home she might settle down and start eating. If she doesn't we'll have to take her back and have more tests run. Do these symptoms sound familiar to anyone??

Thanks!

Is your kitty still sick? I hope it is better by now, I remember seeing those type symptoms on the petplace.com website, but can't remember what it was. Are there any other symptoms? You siad it's backside is always wet, do you mean it's genetal area or it's back. Is it urine or is there drainage from somewhere?
