We have a 4 year old that came to us as a stray. He had already been declawed when we got him. The problem is his feet develope an internal infection and bleed. The Vet told us that the declawing procedure left baterica in the foot tissue and now he has channels of baterica in his paws. He has been on antibiotics for 8 months now but the effects are wearing off and he is losing ground fast.

If your local vet doesn't have any suggestions, try your local college of vet med. They often know of new treatments and methods that are under exploration. If they don't respond...try UC Davis and Ohio State Univ.
