my six year old spayed female cat seems to be suddenly (today) having urinating problems. she has been squatting close to the floor in different locations around the house and sprinkling a very small amount of pee. she is also going in the litter box and just lying down in there for a few minutes before coming out. her ears feel very warm to me as well.

i called the vet but he just said to bring her in tomorrow morning. i can't wait; i'm so worried about her. has anyone had a similar experience and have some advice for me? i am worrying a lot, should i be?

thanks.

She may have a UTI which should be okay to wait until morning to go to the vet for. Just keep your eye on her, if you notice that she is trying to urinate but can't go at all then it could be a blockage in which case I would get her to an emergency vet.
