Hi there. I have two cats at home. They were raised by me since they were 3 days old. Their mother abandoned them. They are very clingly to me and are very hesitent around other people. My work requires that I am away from the 4 days of the week for now. I have someone coming over and looking in on them. and lately she said that everytime she has stopped they have thrown up. I see that it is only cat food that they are throwing up. Could this be a serious problem? Should I switch foods? Could this be more serious? They are my children, I would hate for something serious to be wrong with them.

I think if they were stressed they would be refusing to eat rather than vomitting their meals back up.
I would take them to the vet just to make sure they haven't got any kind of infection or illness. In the meantime but a teaspoon of suger and a teasppon of salt in their water to keep them hydrated.

Farnam Pet Products makes a wonderful product called Comfort Zone that helps to releive stress. (It looks like a plug in room freshner.) I used it in when I introduced two new adult cats into my home. I already had an adult female who was not friendly. It was a miracle--I didn't have one fight, not even a stare down. I think this would also be a great product to releive the anxiety of your cats while you're away.(I usually leave on the television or radio when I'm away--that might help too.) As for the throwing up. My cat was constantly throwing up food and hairballs and was a finiky eater--very thin. I fed the Eukanuba dry food and tried every canned food to entice her to eat. Then I started feeing her cooked meat--chicken, fish, etc. with her dry food and eliminated the canned. Now I only get an occasional hair ball and she has put on weight. My conclusion is that she was allergic to something in the canned foods.
