I was wondering, what's the easiest way to give a cat a bath? Sage has only gotten two since he moved here (I can't pick him up to put him in the tub or hold him down if he wants to fight) and I'm wondering if there's any way I could make it less stressful. I had put screen down for him to get his claws into, but he doesn't have any anymore, so now I need to know if there's a way to keep him from trying to jump out without having to fight. He'll jump into the shower even with the water running, but when he wants out, he wants out now and I can't hold him. Any advice would be much appreciated! I'm wanting to have a "fruity" instead of litterbox smelling kitty

cats really don't need to take baths they bathe themselves.but if you like giving him a bath all i can say is to just keep doing it and eventually he'll get used to it.if you want a fruity smelling kitty and you want to skip the bath thing you could try a cologne spray for cats. the stores have it for dogs so i assume they have it for cats too.if they don't have it ask someone at the pet shop if the dogs cologne is safe for use on cats.

Thanks much for the advice about the kitty cologne, I'll check it out. I do like giving him baths, but I'm not well enough to be able to control him while he's getting used to it and I won't be until at least December. I have to admit, I'm very picky about how clean my animals are. They were all getting twice a month baths with a non-drying shampoo before I got hurt. During the season, I was bathing my horses once or twice a week, but I can't even play with them anymore. Grr! I almost had to give Sage up because he was acting so nutty, and I still might have to if he starts acting up again. Pretty bumming.
