Yes kittens being agressive is fairly common. Most of it is just for fun. Check out the article titled "new kitten and agression. Help" Everyone kind of summed it up there. Good luck

Perfectly normal behaviour, you have two options get yourself a falconry glove and give him a good fight or try to teach him not to do it.

Personally I don't think there is anything wrong with a bit of aggressive behaviour, after all it is natural. Actually I quite enjoy a good fight with my kitten, and the glove has stopped me getting any serios scratches.

Also by stopping you cat engaging in its natural behaviour you may find that it develops behavioural problems in other areas like tearing up your carpet, peeing in unwanted places and scratching furniture.

You are best off just trying to accommodate your kitten than trying to change it.
