I have a 7 month old kitten who just turned 7 months on April 14 and on that exact day started in heat. I don't want to spay her but what else is there to do? I also can't find a boy kitty to get her pregnant. what should i do? i really love my kitty and i have read stories about vets who have made kittens and cats sick from getting them fixed. Please help me the howling is outragious. thank u sooo much. Roxi

Roxi,
Spaying/neutering is one of the most common surgeries performed by vets. I would not worry about her getting "sick" from being spayed. There are so many homeless cats already please to not help contribute by letting your cat get pregnant. Besides, she will go into heat several time a year so if you do'nt spay her what are you going to do...let her have a litter every time she is in heat?? Not a good idea. Get her spayed there are plenty of health benefits involved in having a cat spayed - its well worth it.
