10 year old female always was nice kitty until new female introd to home 2 years ago.Now always wants to be out side and kills and eats moles and mice. She is always angry when in house with other cat. She is loosing weight yet seems to be plenty hungry. She has even started climbing on counter for scraps. Seems thirsty too- will drink from sink or water glasses or wet shower floor. Doesn't have fleas. Lately has lost the fur on top of her ears. Anything sound familiar to anyone?
She becomes extremely violent when taken to the vet so I would like to seek answers first on my own.

could be a thyroid problem, they can give your cat a bad temper as well as making them loose weight quickly and always seem hungry, but with her always being thirsty I would worry she has a kidney problem also.
Try searching some of the veterinary websites they can be quite helful but once again nothing beats a trip to see the vet him/herself. If your cat gets really stressed see if the vet will either pick the cat up from your home and sedate her or give you medication to sedate her with before you take her.
Also if you live in a sunny part of the world make sure you put sunblock on the bald part of her ears, the last thing she needs is skin cancer too!!!!!
