HELP!! My 12 year old cat,who was full of life, has completely changed and appears to be ill. He stays in the closet and only walks a few steps to use the litter box. I bring him canned food 3-4 times a day and he gladly eats, but then lays back down or stays on his haunches and rests. All blood tests are fine, x-rays show not evidence of arthritis. Prednisone perked him up for a few days, then he developed a cold and the vet said to stop it. Glucosamine seems to have no effect on him. Becuase he continues to eat and seems alert I find it hard to have him euthanized, but hate to think he may be suffering. The vets can find nothing wrong with him. No lumps, bumps, recurrance of the cancerous growth that was removed last fall. Any ideas? Thank you.
