Our cat is nearing 15 years old. She has started loosing some of her teeth. What can we do for her? She had some bleeding after she lost the teeth, but otherwise, seems quite normal. She is still eating, although probably a bit less than she normally does. We are in a tough spot financially right now, and a trip to the vet is really not in the budget. I'd appreciate any advice we can get. IP: Logged |

Have a friend who has had cats as old, losing the teeth, and soft foods are the order of the day. Also, keeping an eye on the mouth and gums daily to see that no ohter problems like abcesses or fungal growths are occurring. Might like to still clean out the mouth with an animal rinse on a soft cloth regularly too. You must be doing something right for this cat to be at this age! God bless. IP: Logged |
