I have a four month old kitten who has been suddenly mewing and meowing quite a bit and acting a little strange. Isn't it too early for her to be in heat? I have a five month old girl kitten that hasn't gone into heat yet. (the vet said I could wait to fix them till the youngest of the brood is four months -- he's three months now)

Do you think the middle one can be in heat yet?

Yes, it is possible the kitten is in heat. The average age of a kittens first heat is 6-8 months but can be sooner or later.
