I may have just screwed up my kittens - any ideas on how to "unscrew them up"?

Roscoe and Cosmo are 3 months old and I've been trying different foods to see what they'll eat. Unfortunately, they have figured out that if they don't eat the dry food I leave out (Science Diet), I'll give in and give them canned food. I don't mind the canned food (also Science Diet), except that now they won't eat the Science Diet canned because they like Fancy Feast better. I don't want to leave them on Fancy Feast. What I'd like to do is keep them on the Science Diet dry and supplement with canned food as a treat periodically. I'm having a hard time switching them back since I've been playing their "pattycake" games. My husband says just leave the dry food out and when they get hungry enough, they'll eat. Does everyone agree?

Yes I agree. If that doesnt work you could give them fancy feast but mix in a few peices of dry food with it gradually adding a little more dry food each feeding and deceasing the amount of fancy feast until its dry only. Do this very slowly so they adjust well and dont get picky on you again. Good luck.

i agree that when they get hungry they will eat the dry food. however, we feed our cats in the morning and like to give them dry food with about 1/2 teaspoon of wet food, as a little treat. they really seem to enjoy this. they gobble up the wet food as fast as possible and then eat the dry food.
