How do you stop a female cat from wetting other than cat box. She has been fixed and she did have a kidney problem but now she is on antibodix and is still doing it. Help Fed UP!! IP: Logged |

If it is not a medical problem, which it may be due to the recent infection, then peeing out of the box it is probably a behavioral issue. Sometimes animals will spray on something b/c they don't like its scent. Did you have your rug cleaned recently? Maybe the chemical smell bothers the kitty so she is trying to make it smell better. Peeing is the one way cats have to show their displeasure at their environment. It may be due to some recent change that she is unhappy out. If you can isolate what she is unhappy about then you can fix the problem. Rule out a medical problem first though. IP: Logged |
