Six 3-week old kittens were dropped off at my farm several days ago without their mother. I have taken them inside so I can take care of them and they seem healthy (and absolutely adorable!). I am feeding them with a dropper and two are starting to eat kitten canned food on their own. The problem is that several of them have this large growth by their genitalia. I think they are too young and the growth too big for it to be an indication that they are males. In any case, because there is no mother, as the kittens are sleeping they nose through all the fur, apparently trying to find their mother's nipple. Instead they find this growth and keep trying to suck on it which makes the other kittens cry. I am constantly trying to stop them. Is something wrong with these kitties? (I have an adult male cat and he never had a growth like this when he was a baby.) IP: Logged |
