Hi-
I brought home my 4 week old Cornish Rex from the I.K.C about 3 weeks ago. At first it just begain with sneezing - I took him straight to the vet and he was put on some antibiotics for a slight upper respatory and ear infection. It seemed to be getting better...but only got worse. He then began to sneeze more. So, we took him back to the evt. The vet put him on Antirobe Aquadrops. Now a week later his sneezing has worsened and his breathing is much, more raspier. He is how ever, very, very active, eats A TON, and gose to the bathroom reguraly. He has no discharge from his eyes or nose, except he mucus sprays a bit when he sneezes - But, he has had diarreha recently - I was assuming from the new medication (Antirobe drops)
What do you think is wrong with him? And will he get my other adult cat sick?
Please Help!
Beth

Beth,

I also just adopted a Cornish Rex kitten that is about 18 weeks old.
He is sneezing and has watery eyes. I took him to the vet who said that he might have an upper respiratory infection, however did not prescribe any antibiotics. He told me to watch him and bring him back if he gets worse.
I am very worried though.
I have been reading articles posted at various web sites that suggest several various diseases that are indicated by an URI.
Can you please keep me posted on your kittens condition and treatment?
I am thinking that I should go to a different vet for antibiotics.
Please advise,

Shelly
