I've looked in books but the best description I could find was 'if the bird appers to be puffed out' it's cold. Puffed out? What does that mean? Is it even right? Does anyone else know a better way to tell? And how can I keep her warm? ------------------ IP: Logged |

Hi, If your bird is cold or ill, puffed out means that she will be sat with her feathers all ruffled up. The way i keep my birds warm is keep the house at a temprature that feels warm to me normal room temprature is normally enough to keep her warm. If it is cold during the night you can cover her cage to keep out draughts but will still let air in. Place her cage away from windows and doors where a draught may come in as this can cause a chill in your bird... Is she still eating, drinking and chatty??? IP: Logged |
