Hi.... I live on the 3rd floor of an apt. complex. This morning I woke up and there was an injured bird on my patio. (I have a bird feeder up that attracts tons of birds). I have seen it eat.....It looks like it is flopping around...although every time I try to get close to it, it flys away, and then it will come back and just sit there on my patio. The local SPCA is closed today, and I'm not sure if there is anything I can do. Should I just let the poor thing alone? Should I put some water out for it? I honestly don't know a thing about birds.... Thanks!

Hi, unless you can catch the bird and get it checked out there is really nothing you can do.

Yes you could put some water out for the bird aslong as its still eating and drinking and can fly it should be ok wild birds seem to be very hardy well they have to be...

When the SPCA reopens give them a ring tell them the situation and they should semd someone to have a look and try catch the bird..

keep us posted

Havent seen the injured bird in a few days. He was flopping around a little, but for the most part looked healthy the last time I saw him. I will let you know if I see him back
