I purchased a canary that was sold as a male and I beleive he is however he wont sing, not even a little chirp! It seems like I remember reading years ago that some never sing.I have always wanted a canary and my Question is is this true or just part of the ongoing curse on everything I do? Hi, It is true some canaries never sing unless it is breeding season. They also like to be with other canaries or finches.. Talk to him as much as you can and he may start to sing, If not have you thought of getting another canary. You can keep 2 male's in the same cage or 2 females, This would then be company of his own type to sing with.. Also Canaries love music, If at all possible try leaving a radio on see if he sings along.. keep us posted Mike IP: Logged |
