Hi,
Sounds like your bird should see an avian vet ASAP as there is a couple of things that may be the cause of the problem..

Colds, Allergies, Aspergillos, Fungus in the lungs or Air sacs, Sinus congestion, Pneumonia.

The vet will be able to rule out any of these..

Birds are very good at hiding illnesses/disease till its too late to do anything about it...

Pet stores/Flea markets are not the best place to buy a bird.

Pet stores,The workers have either little or no knowledge of birds...

Flea markets, The people who sell animals there are either backyard breeders who have bred sick birds and want to sell them quick or they have bred the birds realised they don't have the time or money for them and no longer want them, most of which this type of bird is prone to illnesses due to lack of responsibility on the owners/breeders part..

keep us posted of how the little guy is doing..

I know this is not what you want to hear but if the problem with your little bird is serious he may not make it another 16days illnesses in birds only serface when the bird can no longer hide it.

Could you give a vet a call and ask them for advice in this matter ...

Has the temprature of the room changed or does it change regulary as as the room temp should be kept literally at the same temp as possible.

If there is anymore problems please feel free to email me at boro_lad1976@hotmail.com

And i will be only to pleased to help with any questions you may have i currently have 14 birds and i have had them sometime so its easier for me to pick up on if they are ill or not happy...
