Or maybe she just likes me, but thats good enough for me! Lately I have been thinking that she hates me because she just wants to play with her little plastic bird in her cage & keeps nipping at my fingers. Today I think we had kind of a break-threw, or another step up in our bird-human relationship.
When I want to let her out I just open the door to her cage and pin it up so she can come out if she wants. So today she jumped/flew out. Her wings were clipped by the pet store & are growing back. (Her cage is only about 1ft & 1/2 off the ground.)
Anyway, I was sitting on the floor and as soon as she saw me she walked over and started crawling up my leg to my stomach, then up my chest and finally sat right under my chin next to my neck. And she stayed there for a long time, she even played with my hair and explored my face a little, mostly my chin, jaw & lips. She has never been that close to it. And best of all she didn't bite at me! While she was next to my neck I was talking to her and when I would say 'Silly Girl', which is what I call her since I don't have a name picked out yet, she would make this little chirp & click her beak. And after I put her back I put my hand in her cage & she just looked & went back to eating. When a few days ago she would come charging at it.
I'm so happy!!

Hi, congrats on the break through with your bird. i know how it feels when you think one minute your bird hates you the next she is happy to be with you and sit with you, a few more days and whenever she is out she will follow you about wanting to see what you are doing. I leave my birds cage door open while i am in the house while i am watching tv she will come out and sit on my shoulder and watch tv with me..

I am glad you and your bird are getting on so well...
