Ever time that I pick up my cockatiel and try to pet him or even touch him at all other then to hold him he bite me. It dont hurt but I need to know what I can do, to let me and others touch him. Because I am going to take him to a pre-school and I dont him to bite the little kids. ------------------ IP: Logged |

have the wings been clipped? if not than that would be a good idea, even if he bites you must show him that it won't cause you to stop trying, after a while the bird will be more and more comfertable with your touch, good luck IP: Logged |

Hey I would suggest getting him out everyday for a while and just holding him. Get him to trust you and say no when he bites you then set him aside and don't hold him for a minute he will eventually learn no and will become more attached to you. Then you shouldn't have anymore biting problems (it worked for me) but every bird is different. let me know if this works IP: Logged |
