Hello, I am the proud owner of a 2 year old Quaker Parrot named Annie. Unfortunatly, her vet has just recently retired and I needed to find someone new to cut her wings and nails. I got in touch with a mobile avian "specialist" to come to my house and give my bird what she called a spa treatment. This was to include nail and wing trim and vitamin foot rub. (She deserves it) But the crazy woman took her out of her cage and gave her a "neck adjustment" without me even having time to object to it. It sounded as if I cracked my knuckle. Has anyone heard of this???? Since then (Wednesday) Annie will not come out of her cage or say one word. She is eating though THANK GOD and I think her neck is okay because she is moving her head around as normal but why is she being so antisocial? Please help, Annie is usually so much fun and sooo affectionate and now she wants nothing to do with me, it's been 2 days now! And she's stopped talking!

I realize this post is a little late, but has she come around? She may have taken it personally that you, her mommy, let some stranger harm her. Even when you crack your knuckles, it does hurt. Give her some time, talk nicly to her, etc. Maybe give her a new toy?
