My cockatiel is plucking his feathers why is that is he lonley i herd birds are only suposed to pluck there feathers at like some certin time so wats up?

stress and boredom are some of the factors why he could be doing that, but mine usually only do that when there molting and they trying to get a feather out thats aggrivating them, if he has things to occupy himself you mite want to have him checked for mites keep us posted

THx for that! I have another question I got my rickii in a pet store and they didnt know how old he was so when about do they start molting?

They ususally star molting in around the fall time wich would be now. Your cockateal also does that because of a lack of attention from the one he love (eg. you or a lost bird mate). GIVE HIM LOTS OF LOVIN.
