I saw this on Twitter today. I could really feel this dog's grief.

Awe so sad. just two days ago I whitnessed something like that... On my busy road that goes right out front of my house I was on my way home from work, around 8pm and there was a back up in traffic, I was a car away from the front car causing the problems and I saw a golden retriever wondering...looked like the people in the car were trying to coax it to them so they could probably call it's tag we figured (getting a ride with a friend as my car was snowed in my driveway). Then a gal got out of the passenger seat and looked to be crouching to coax the dog but then she stood and dragged a black dog off the road, who had been hit, either by the people in that car or the one in front of them who'd driven off... Blood everywhere. It was horrid. Worst part was the black dog looked a lot like my own Dane x. I knew it wasn't her but still. VERY sad. SECOND time this year I saw a pair of dogs dealing with loss involving a traffic accident.
