A year is a year no matter what the species.
Whats different is the rate at which each species matures, so if you want 'equivelants'....a dog becomes an adult between the ages of about 18 months to 2 years depending on breed, a larger breed dog is considered a geriatric from about 8 years old, small breeds anywhere from 10 years.
